Blunt Force Prevention is a professional knife sharpening service based in Miamisburg and West Carrollton, Ohio, serving the greater Dayton metro area. We restore razor-sharp edges to kitchen knives, hunting and outdoor knives, serrated blades, fillet knives, cleavers, pocket knives, and more using a precision whetstone process. We serve both home cooks and professional restaurant kitchens. Service is by appointment only — there is no walk-in shop. Services and Pricing
- Kitchen Knife Sharpening — $8 per blade. Chef's knives, santoku, paring, boning, and other straight-edge kitchen blades. Bulk rate of $6 per blade when you bring 15 or more.
- Serrated Knife Sharpening — $10 per blade. Bread knives and steak knives. Flat rate; not eligible for bulk discounts due to the time each serration requires.
- Outdoor & Hunting Knife Sharpening — $10 per blade. Hunting knives, fixed-blade and survival knives, pocket knives, and multi-tool blades. Bulk rate of $8 per blade when you bring 10 or more.
A 7.5% sales tax is applied to all orders. Payment is collected upon service completion.
How It Works
Submit your order online, choosing either a scheduled drop-off or a local pick-up. We then coordinate a convenient time with you. Turnaround for drop-off orders is typically 24–48 hours depending on volume. All knives are sharpened by hand on a whetstone for a clean, durable edge.
